It can be lonely at the top, but it doesn’t have to be.

We know leaders limit their potential when they lead from isolation. But, when surrounded by trusted advisors with a common goal and a biblical worldview, they can maximize performance and energize cultures. With faith as the foundation, this powerful group of peers meet in an exclusive, confidential forums around the Boston area to have their questions answered and their answers questioned.

PAUL MARSTON

God has been honing Paul’s business skills through a wide array of family enterprises for over 30 years. A graduate of Phillips Andover and then to The University of New Hampshire, Paul jumped right into his family businesses before he graduated from college. As the son of a serial entrepreneur, variety was always the norm. From restaurants to golf course, to Haz-Mat trucking, to self-storage, to healthy vending machines and more, God has equipped Paul with a wide array of skills to help others. Family business are unique unto themselves. Getting all the thrills of running a business, plus the dynamics of family that only those on the inside can truly appreciate. More of an administrator than an artist, Paul quickly developed an acumen for business fundamentals that would empower him in a variety of situations. His formula? Show people you care first. Love them by really listening to them. Put the right people in the right positions, equip them, add a sprinkle of humor, a dash of vision, and then turn them loose giving them the freedom to succeed. He was the go-to person for the family restaurant to survive the 1990 recession. A decade later he was CEO of the family trucking company which was one of ExxonMobil’s top 10 nationwide carriers. As peace maker, he shuttled off to the family’s two golf courses when things took a turn for the worst in the Great recession. For his family, these businesses were easy to acquire and difficult to sell, and they are only a sample of all the adventures he’s had in his family businesses. Led to the Lord by his wonderful wife Yvonne, they have two great kids and have attended Bethany Church in Greenland, NH since 2009. It was her encouragement that guided Paul on his walk, where he accepted Jesus Christ as Lord, learning to be a steward of the businesses God entrusted him with. Paul joined C12 in 2014, and he credits the input of his chair and peer group as essential in helping turn several of his struggling family businesses around. Eventually, he was able to have a successful exit in 2022. The journey was the prize. Through great times and challenging times, God gave Paul the strength to persevere to succeed. Paul is humbled and grateful for all the Lord has done for his businesses and his family through C12, and he is so excited to pay it forward as a chair and help others on their journey.

KYLE KELDSEN

Looking back, it’s clear that God has been preparing Kyle for C12 since the very beginning. His first job during college was at Digital Equipment Corporation, founded by Ken Olsen – a Christian. He was then at Raytheon, led at the time by Tom Phillips – Christian. And so it has gone, with believers either leading the company or bringing him in. God also led him to roles in almost every function, giving him the breadth of experience necessary to be an effective C12 chair. Most of Kyle’s career has been in high-tech sales leadership starting at Check Point Software, with additional work in leadership, operations, marketing, communication, organizational health, and management consulting. While much of his work has been with Fortune 500 companies, Kyle has had extensive experience serving SMB firms. At Gartner, Kyle worked with high-tech CEOs to help run their business more effectively, leveraging advisory and consulting for all C-suite roles. Kyle’s most recent endeavors have been more entrepreneurial in nature–including starting an internet marketing firm and developing a consulting company working in organizational health. In addition to his work with C12, Kyle currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees of his church and as Vice President of Finance for the Greater Boston Chapter of the Association for Talent Development. Kyle enjoys many outdoor activities, including downhill & water skiing, hiking & biking, running & lifting, and has been known to hit white balls with a metal stick. Kyle has a passion for apologetics, listening to music, and reading the occasional book. His bride of 25+ years is Leslie and they have college-age children. As a Chair with the Center of New England practice, Kyle serves leaders from New Hampshire & Massachusetts.

“C12 is everything I was looking for and more of what I didn’t know I needed. My peers challenge me in my blind spots, love me in hard times, and encourage me to glorify God in the way I lead my team. It’s a home for business leaders.”
